Description:

We’re hiring a UX Copywriter Trainee — no prior experience required, just strong attention to language, structure, and how words guide users through products. You’ll learn how to write microcopy: button labels, tooltips, error messages, empty states, and onboarding screens. We’ll teach you how to brief an AI properly, improve its outputs, and know when to rewrite, restructure, or cut entirely. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to craft clear, intentional text across interfaces. Expect to draft quickly, experiment with phrasing, and learn how to make machine-generated drafts feel alive and brand-aligned. We’ll guide you on how to separate fact from opinion, check sources, and avoid assumptions — the foundations of ethical reporting. We’ll show you how to write with structure — every word serving a function, every sentence helping someone do something better. You’ll help repurpose blog content into shorter tips for email or social, learning how to adapt long to short and back again. We’ll teach you how to work with briefs, deadlines, and feedback — and how to revise fast without losing your voice.

Basic Qualifications:

• Research topics thoroughly using credible sources, interviews, and data to support your writing.
• Use brand guidelines to maintain a consistent voice across all touchpoints.
• Meet deadlines reliably while maintaining high standards for accuracy and originality.
• Conduct interviews or gather quotes from experts, stakeholders, or people on the ground.
• Stay up to date with trends in language, content formats, and publishing standards.

Preferred:

• Familiar with AP or Chicago style (or willing to learn editorial standards as needed).
• Knows how to write calls to action, summaries, and structured intros that hook readers.
• Willing to ghostwrite, write under a byline, or support thought leadership content.
• Able to research topics thoroughly using credible sources and present balanced perspectives.
• Thrives in editorial, collaborative environments that reward curiosity and precision.
