We’re in search of an Online Chat Moderator who thrives in fast-moving digital environments and knows how to keep conversations respectful, clear, and community-driven. In this role, you’ll be actively monitoring live chats, group discussions, and community platforms to ensure everyone feels safe, heard, and supported. More than just enforcing rules, you’ll be shaping the culture — setting the tone through your responses, helping newcomers feel welcome, and stepping in calmly when discussions get heated. You’ll act as the eyes and ears of our community, catching inappropriate content, flagging recurring issues, and ensuring our guidelines are consistently followed. You should be comfortable multitasking across different platforms (think Discord, Telegram, live events, forums) and using moderation tools to take quick action when needed. You should be quick on your feet, able to handle high volumes of messages, and comfortable using moderation tools like bans, mutes, and reports without overreacting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use moderation tools like keyword filters, mute/ban functions, and alert systems effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues like harassment or user reports.
• Be a calm, neutral presence in heated moments, de-escalating tension before it spreads.
• Escalate complex issues or repeat offenses to senior moderators or community managers.
• Balance moderation with genuine interaction—people should feel heard, not policed.

• Curious about how digital communities grow and how to protect them.
• Can balance friendly tone with firmness when enforcing rules.
• Excited to contribute to a positive, well-moderated online environment.
• Can manage time and multitask between reviewing messages and writing responses.
• Takes feedback seriously and strives to improve communication style and decisions.
