Description:

We’re hiring a UX/UI Designer Trainee to help build and maintain design systems — no experience needed, just precision, structure, and an eye for consistency. You’ll work alongside product designers and researchers to understand real user behavior and turn insights into better interfaces. We’ll teach you how to use Figma like a pro: components, auto layout, grids, and prototyping. You’ll learn how to take user stories or raw wireframes and turn them into clean, usable, and consistent designs. You’ll learn the basics of information architecture, user journeys, and how to map out what people really do — not just what they say. We’ll show you how to give your work rhythm and hierarchy — using spacing, contrast, typography, and alignment like a designer, not a decorator. You’ll also help build and maintain mini design systems so our mobile products stay consistent as they grow. You’ll learn the difference between visual flair and visual purpose — and when to push or simplify. We’ll show you how to stay lightweight in your process: rapid iterations, lo-fi testing, and clear design decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Communicate design ideas through presentations, storyboards, or quick sketches depending on the context.
• Balance business needs with user needs—it’s not always easy, but you’ll make the call.
• Gather and interpret feedback from users, team members, and stakeholders without losing your design vision.
• Be the champion of user-centered design on your team—question assumptions, push for clarity.
• Use user personas, journey maps, and other tools to design with empathy.

Preferred:

• Willing to present design ideas and explain decisions using data and user insights.
• Values empathy, clarity, and functionality in digital experiences.
• Proficient in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch with experience creating user interfaces and interactive prototypes.
• Experience working on real-world products, case studies, or freelance/agency design briefs.
• Willing to receive and incorporate design critiques to refine and improve work quality.

You’ll attend design reviews, developer handoffs, and see how component-based thinking saves time across product teams. You don’t need a perfect portfolio — just solid fundamentals, good structure, and a drive to grow through doing.
