Description:

We’re looking for a dedicated and accurate Transcriptionist to join our remote team and provide high-quality transcription services. You’ll be responsible for transcribing audio and video recordings, including interviews, focus groups, podcasts, and webinars. You’ll work with different formats and platforms, transcribing content such as interviews, podcasts, lectures, and corporate meetings. You’ll edit and proofread your transcriptions, ensuring they are clear, concise, and free from grammatical errors. You’ll proofread your work to guarantee it’s free from errors and ensure that transcriptions are polished and easy to read. You’ll handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and adhere to confidentiality agreements. You’ll assist in ensuring that all transcriptions are delivered on time, managing multiple projects without compromising quality. You’ll be using transcription software to increase productivity while ensuring your output meets the highest quality standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work independently in a remote setting—balancing focus, typing speed, and attention to detail under minimal supervision.
• Communicate professionally with clients to confirm instructions, request extensions, or clarify unclear parts of recordings.
• Deliver polished, final transcripts that are easy to read, navigate, and repurpose for clients.
• Mark unclear audio with timestamps or tags (e.g., [inaudible], [crosstalk]) and follow up when clarification is needed.
• Stay current with transcription tools, keyboard shortcuts, and productivity techniques to increase output without losing accuracy.

Preferred:

• Comfortable working independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
• Able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
• Fast and accurate typing skills, ideally 60+ words per minute.
• Wants to grow into roles like QA Transcription Reviewer, Caption Editor, or Documentation Specialist.
• Familiar with confidentiality standards and secure handling of sensitive information.

You’ll stay updated with industry best practices, improving your transcription skills and keeping up with new tools and technology. You’ll provide accurate transcriptions of audio with different accents, tones, and background noise, adjusting for clarity and context.
