Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Discord Moderator to join our team and help manage our growing online community. You’ll be responsible for enforcing community guidelines, ensuring a respectful and welcoming environment for all members. You’ll help resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and ensure that members feel comfortable engaging within the community. You’ll assist in creating and enforcing server rules, ensuring that every member understands and adheres to the guidelines. You’ll help resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and provide support to users in need, ensuring smooth interactions. You’ll collaborate with other moderators to ensure fair decision-making and consistency in rule enforcement across the server. You’ll be responsible for onboarding new members, answering questions, and guiding them on how to navigate the server. You’ll assist with new member onboarding, providing guidance and information about server rules and resources.

Basic Qualifications:

• Step in quickly during conflicts, escalating only when necessary and explaining actions transparently when possible.
• Stay up to date with Discord updates, moderation tools, and community trends to moderate effectively.
• Monitor chat activity across all channels to ensure conversations stay respectful, on-topic, and within community guidelines.
• Work with other mods to stay consistent—so members don’t get mixed signals from different team members.
• Help track server suggestions, bug reports, and user feedback—passing them on to admins or developers as needed.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in online communities, gaming, education, or fan spaces.
• Can quickly learn server rules and help ensure others understand them too.
• Thrives in collaborative, digital-first spaces and loves helping others feel welcome.
• Excited to grow into more responsibility as they gain experience.
• Willing to learn how to use moderation tools like MEE6, Dyno, or Carl-bot.

You’ll provide regular feedback to the team on community health and suggest ways to improve engagement and user experience. You’ll provide feedback and support in improving server processes and enhancing user experiences across the platform. You’ll stay up to date with Discord updates and features, ensuring the server is utilizing the latest tools to improve user experience. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of the community.
