Description:

We’re hiring a skilled Translation Specialist to join our team and provide accurate and culturally relevant translations for a variety of content. You’ll be responsible for translating documents, websites, and marketing materials while maintaining the integrity of the original message. You’ll work closely with the content and marketing teams to ensure that all translations are culturally appropriate and on-brand. You’ll perform thorough quality checks, proofreading and editing translations to ensure they are free of errors and culturally appropriate. You’ll manage the translation process from start to finish, handling everything from initial translation to final review. You’ll collaborate with other team members to maintain consistency in terminology across projects and languages. You’ll handle technical, legal, and general translations, requiring both linguistic expertise and subject-specific knowledge. You’ll participate in quality assurance processes to review translations, ensuring they meet client specifications and standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Translate both general and specialized content (medical, legal, technical, financial, etc.) depending on your expertise.
• Adapt language and tone to suit the target audience—what works in English might need cultural tweaking elsewhere.
• Use quality assurance tools to run checks for missing segments, formatting issues, or term mismatches.
• Ensure terminology is consistent within documents, especially for industry-specific or branded content.
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar, flow, and consistency—delivering polished, professional results.

Preferred:

• Capable of handling tight deadlines while maintaining high linguistic quality.
• Willing to follow style guides and formatting instructions for consistency.
• Able to proofread and edit own work before submission.
• Understands how to preserve tone, context, and cultural relevance in translation.
• Has translated for clients, agencies, or personal projects with a clear process.

You’ll assist in developing and maintaining translation glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency across projects. You’ll provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation workflows and processes across the team.
