Description:

We’re hiring a Junior QA Tester to help ensure our software is functional, reliable, and free of defects. You’ll be responsible for executing manual tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to fix issues before release. You’ll assist in creating and maintaining detailed test plans, ensuring all features are thoroughly tested across different devices and platforms. You’ll collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential issues. You’ll perform manual testing, focusing on functionality, usability, and compatibility, ensuring the software delivers a flawless user experience. You’ll report defects and work with the team to prioritize and address issues, ensuring quick resolutions. You’ll assist in maintaining test environments and ensure testing tools and scripts are up-to-date. You’ll participate in sprint meetings, providing feedback on product features and sharing insights on possible testing risks.

Basic Qualifications:

• Your goal isn’t just to “break stuff”—it’s to protect the user experience and build trust in every release.
• Help maintain bug databases and categorize issues by severity, impact, and reproduction rate.
• Assist in writing simple automated tests (if you’re learning tools like Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright).
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) processes by assisting stakeholders and gathering their feedback effectively.
• Track test coverage and work with the QA team to prioritize areas of high risk or frequent failure.

Preferred:

• Thrives in detail-oriented work and contributes to building a more reliable product.
• Experience using tools like Jira, TestRail, or Trello to log and track issues.
• Knows how to review UI/UX for consistency and spot layout or responsiveness issues.
• Organized in tracking test results, reporting progress, and managing deadlines.
