Description:
We’re looking for a WordPress Assistant who knows their way around the dashboard like it’s second nature and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty with plugins, themes, and a little bit of HTML/CSS. You know your way around the WordPress admin panel, can spot formatting issues from a mile away, and love making sure everything looks polished and professional. You’ve likely worked with Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, or WPBakery, and you understand how to build or edit pages without breaking anything. You’re familiar with common plugins like Yoast, WPForms, and WooCommerce, and you’re not afraid to dive into settings or troubleshoot plugin conflicts when needed. You know what makes a site easy to use — smooth navigation, optimized images, clear headings — and you make sure everything is polished before it goes live. You’re not a developer, but you’re confident enough to poke around in the code if something needs a small fix — and you definitely know how to Google your way through a tricky error message.
Basic Qualifications:
- Stay organized by maintaining documentation of changes, plugins used, and login credentials (securely, of course).
- Support SEO efforts by optimizing on-page elements like alt text, meta descriptions, permalinks, and heading structure.
- Keep the media library clean by compressing, labeling, and organizing image files for performance and accessibility.
- Help configure basic plugins (contact forms, analytics, caching, etc.) and test functionality before go-live.
- Manage user roles, comments, and spam filtering so the backend stays organized and under control.
Preferred:
- Excited to grow into roles like WordPress Developer, Content Manager, or Website Administrator.
- Pays attention to SEO basics using tools like Yoast SEO or Rank Math.
- Basic understanding of how WordPress works, including themes, plugins, and page builders.
- Comfortable testing site functionality across desktop and mobile devices.
- Comfortable updating website content, proofreading posts, and ensuring formatting consistency.
Benefits:
- No micromanagement — we trust your WordPress instincts.
- Flexible hours — update plugins in the morning or build pages at midnight, your call.
- Team rituals include plugin-of-the-month shares and Friday bug-fix bingo.
- Your attention to detail will be noticed and appreciated (especially when something doesn’t crash).
- No gatekeeping — senior devs are happy to teach and explain.
You work quickly and carefully, making sure everything looks good across devices and browsers. You communicate clearly, follow instructions closely, and aren’t afraid to ask questions when something seems off. " You might have helped migrate a site or cleaned up an outdated theme, and you know how to work within a team or take initiative on your own. If you’re someone who likes bringing order to chaos and making WordPress work better for everyone involved — this role is made for you. ” If you’ve ever fixed a site that was “just acting weird,” or helped turn a half-finished build into something ready for launch, then you already speak our language. Let’s make WordPress simpler, faster, and smoother — together.
