Description:

We’re hiring a Shoe Repair Specialist for our mall-based service kiosk — ideal for someone who’s fast, friendly, and ready to restore footwear in a high-traffic setting. You’ll travel to homes, offices, or drop-off hubs with a compact repair kit to perform on-the-spot fixes or collect shoes for workshop service. You’ll be trained to replace soles and heels, patch tears, restitch seams, and restore worn-down parts using professional tools. You’ll assist in polishing, conditioning, and waterproofing shoes to extend their lifespan and improve their appearance. You’ll assess each shoe quickly and explain repair options clearly, offering honest timelines and pricing. You’ll help explain repair options to clients who may not know what’s possible, building trust through transparency and skill. You’ll be responsible for documenting before/after photos, repair scope, and materials used in client records for traceability. You’ll help organize tickets, track turnaround times, and notify clients when repairs are ready for pickup. You’ll assist with dye touch-ups, color matching, and leather blending for premium shoe restoration.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use machinery such as grinders, stitching machines, and presses safely and precisely.
• Offer additional services like belt shortening, bag stitching, or leather care when appropriate.
• Order and restock supplies like soles, nails, glue, thread, and polish as needed.
• Polish, condition, and clean leather or suede shoes to improve appearance and prolong lifespan.
• Customize insoles or inserts for orthopedic needs or comfort improvements.

Preferred:

• Organized with tracking repair orders, turnaround times, and inventory of supplies such as glue, soles, and stitching thread.
• Wants to grow into roles like Head Cobbler, Workshop Owner, or Artisan Footwear Designer.
• Understands how to match replacement parts like soles, laces, and eyelets to maintain the original shoe design.
• Willing to maintain a tidy, professional workspace and uphold safety standards.
• Pays attention to craftsmanship and ensures repaired shoes are durable, comfortable, and presentable.
