Description:

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to help produce high-quality audio content for our podcast. You’ll be responsible for editing podcast episodes, improving audio quality, and ensuring each episode is ready for publication. You’ll collaborate with hosts and producers to refine content, removing unnecessary elements and enhancing the storytelling. You’ll clean up audio files, remove background noise, and enhance sound quality to ensure professional-grade recordings. You’ll work with audio editing tools to improve pacing, remove filler words, and adjust volume levels for clarity and consistency. You’ll manage multiple podcast episodes simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality audio content on time. You’ll collaborate with the creative team to incorporate feedback, ensuring that each episode aligns with the overall vision of the podcast. You’ll assist in preparing promotional clips or highlights to be shared on social media, increasing engagement with the audience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Adjust editing based on guest dynamics, content type (interview vs. solo), and intended audience.
• Meet deadlines reliably, especially for weekly or time-sensitive episodes tied to events or releases.
• Ensure all content meets podcast platform guidelines (Apple, Spotify, etc.) and follows copyright best practices.
• Maintain an archive of raw and edited files, keeping backups organized for future edits, remasters, or republishing needs.
• Organize and label audio files clearly, delivering final episodes in the required format (e.g., MP3, WAV) and bitrate for hosting platforms.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in audio production, storytelling, radio, or media.
• Comfortable editing for flow, removing filler words, long pauses, or background noise.
• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Audio Editor, Podcast Producer, or Creative Director.
• Can export episodes in proper formats and optimize for platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube.
• Organized and timely with file delivery, client communication, and revision requests.
