Description:
We’re looking for an HR Specialist Trainee who’s ready to learn the art and science of recruiting — no prior experience needed, just strong communication skills, empathy, and an eye for potential. You’ll help craft job postings that are clear, inclusive, and aligned with team needs. We’ll teach you how to screen resumes, identify red flags, and spot transferable skills that others might miss. You’ll assist in screening candidates, reviewing applications, and identifying who best matches each role. Expect to sit in on interviews, observe different interview styles, and take notes to support hiring decisions. We’ll train you to use applicant tracking systems and teach you how recruiters manage dozens of roles at once. We’ll guide you in writing outreach messages, follow-ups, and rejections with professionalism and empathy. Expect to support internal hiring reports, keep databases organized, and track key recruiting metrics like time-to-hire. You’ll also help build talent pipelines, learning how to source passive candidates using platforms like LinkedIn.
Basic Qualifications:
- Maintain compliance with labor laws, hiring regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Refine processes to reduce time-to-hire and improve candidate quality.
- Support internal mobility by helping current employees explore new roles.
- Help shape a hiring culture that values people over paperwork.
- Build talent pipelines for frequently hired or hard-to-fill roles in advance.
Preferred:
- Willing to represent the company at job fairs, career events, or virtual recruitment webinars.
- Can manage multiple open roles at once, prioritizing by urgency and business needs.
- Open to improving the recruitment process through automation, templates, or data analysis.
- Familiar with employment laws, EEOC guidelines, and best practices in fair hiring.
- Wants to grow into roles like Talent Partner, People Operations Manager, or HR Business Partner.
