Description:
We’re hiring Auto Mechanic Trainees who are ready to start over — whether you’re coming from retail, construction, IT, or a desk job you were never passionate about. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning everything from oil changes to diagnostics — with time, tools, and real mentorship. This is a hands-on role from day one: you’ll learn directly in the shop, not in a classroom, guided by certified mechanics who’ve been in your shoes. You’ll begin with the fundamentals: how to lift safely, how to change oil correctly, how to inspect brakes, and how to write a proper service note. You’ll inspect vehicles thoroughly, explain findings honestly, and never guess when safety is on the line. You’ll rotate tires, change filters, top off fluids, inspect brakes — and understand what’s happening, not just “do the task. You’ll complete repairs efficiently without cutting corners — because quality always outranks speed in our shop. You’ll work on real vehicles, touch real engines, and be part of real repairs — with supervision, feedback, and support every day. You’ll learn how to think mechanically: to spot wear, hear unusual sounds, and troubleshoot the cause — not just the symptom.
Basic Qualifications:
- Follow repair orders, technical manuals, and manufacturer guidelines to ensure accurate and safe vehicle servicing.
- Ultimately, ensure every vehicle leaves the shop safe, functional, and ready for the road—earning customer trust with every job.
- Prioritize workload and manage multiple repairs while meeting shop timelines and customer expectations.
- Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices on shop procedures, tool usage, and repair best practices.
- Monitor for recurring issues or recall-related problems and notify customers or service writers accordingly.
Preferred:
- Values precision, safety, and honest workmanship on every repair job.
- Familiar with using diagnostic tools such as OBD-II scanners, multimeters, and pressure gauges.
- Thrives in hands-on, collaborative work environments with daily variety and challenge.
- Can complete test drives, emissions checks, or post-repair inspections confidently.
- Comfortable working on both gas and diesel engines; hybrid or EV experience is a bonus.
Benefits:
- A chance to make a real difference in people’s lives — one car at a time.
- Work in a fast-paced shop where no two days are the same.
- Learn and grow with access to training programs — we invest in your skills.
- Discounts on vehicle services and parts — we’ve got your back for your ride too.
- Variety in work — from routine repairs to high-performance builds, keep it interesting.
You’ll be part of a team that doesn’t expect perfection from day one — but does expect you to show up, care, and keep improving. You’ll be encouraged to take your time, double-check your work, and speak up when something doesn’t feel right — and we’ll back you for it. You’ll work in a clean, organized space where everyone is held to the same standards: neatness, respect, quality, and safety. You’ll start to feel when a brake pedal is “off,” hear when a belt’s about to go, and know when a customer’s story means more than what’s on the dash. You’ll go home tired, maybe sore — but also proud, because you fixed something real, and someone’s car runs better because of you. You’ll work with people who want you to succeed — not compete — and who remember what it felt like to pick up a torque wrench for the first time. You’ll stop feeling like “just another number at work” — and start building a career that uses your hands, your mind, and your pride together. If you’re ready to rebuild more than just engines — and want a trade you can truly own — we’re ready to teach you from the ground up.
