Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll respond to calls for lockouts, key replacements, broken locks, and security upgrades in homes, businesses, and vehicles. You’ll be trained to pick locks, rekey cylinders, cut keys, and install or repair deadbolts, knobs, and access systems. You’ll connect smart devices to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, set up mobile apps, and walk clients through how to use their new system. You’ll troubleshoot connection issues, app pairing problems, and battery-related concerns both during and after installation. You’ll drive a fully stocked mobile service vehicle with tools, blanks, key-cutting machines, and diagnostic gear for roadside work. You’ll document all services provided, verify vehicle ownership, and ensure all security protocols are followed at every job. You’ll be trained in fast-entry techniques, crisis de-escalation, and how to navigate high-stress environments like break-ins or domestic disputes. You’ll rotate between emergency calls, dealership support, and scheduled rekeys or upgrades throughout your shift.

Basic Qualifications:

• Respond to emergency lockout situations with professionalism and minimal damage.
• Diagnose issues with lock mechanisms, cylinders, or access systems and perform necessary repairs.
• Coordinate with property managers, police, or building contractors on complex lock systems.
• Stay up to date with advances in digital locks, biometric systems, and electronic access control.
• Respect client confidentiality and maintain a high level of trust when handling sensitive access points.

Preferred:

• Licensed or certified as a locksmith (where required) with a strong understanding of local security regulations and locksmith ethics.
• Pays strong attention to detail when working with small mechanisms, security pins, and precision tools.
• Can follow blueprints, architectural drawings, or specs for large-scale keying and hardware installations.
• Background or strong interest in mechanical systems, security hardware, or precision craftsmanship.
• Open to working on-site in private homes, offices, schools, banks, or vehicle lock systems.

You’ll be expected to communicate clearly, build trust, and maintain professionalism with customers during stressful situations. You’ll follow local and national locksmith regulations, including licensing, proof-of-ownership checks, and lockout documentation. You’ll assist in commercial rekeying projects, secure file cabinet systems, or panic bar installations as needed. You’ll help clients feel empowered and secure with their new systems — not confused or overwhelmed by the tech. You’ll document every call clearly, especially when dealing with forced entry, trespassing, or damaged property. You’ll receive support and mentoring from senior techs who know the ins and outs of nearly every vehicle system.
