Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll respond to car lockouts, lost key scenarios, broken ignitions, and remote reprogramming requests across a variety of vehicle makes and models. You’ll use lock-picking tools, bypass devices, extractors, and drills to gain access without causing damage whenever possible. You’ll assist with creating and maintaining master key hierarchies, issuing access levels by department or personnel. You’ll extract broken keys from ignitions and doors, replace cylinders, and repair switch assemblies as needed. You’ll install and program digital locks, keypad systems, or smart locks depending on client needs and access type. You’ll work with brands like August, Schlage, Yale, and commercial access control platforms depending on the job. You’ll rotate between residential upgrades, short-term rental clients, office access systems, and tech-savvy homeowners. You’ll maintain a clean, branded appearance and be ready to explain features in a friendly and clear way.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep a well-organized toolset and mobile workshop if working in a field-service capacity.
• Use specialized tools like picks, key cutters, drills, and tension wrenches with precision.
• Respond to emergency lockout situations with professionalism and minimal damage.
• Work independently while managing time and routing efficiently across multiple locations.
• Perform maintenance checks on high-traffic entry systems in offices or apartment buildings.

Preferred:

• Licensed or certified as a locksmith (where required) with a strong understanding of local security regulations and locksmith ethics.
• Pays close attention to cleanliness, professionalism, and worksite safety during every job.
• Experience installing, repairing, and servicing locks, deadbolts, safes, and security hardware in residential or commercial settings.
• Willing to advise clients on upgrading lock systems, access control, or home/business security solutions.
• Open to working on-site in private homes, offices, schools, banks, or vehicle lock systems.

You’ll be expected to communicate clearly, build trust, and maintain professionalism with customers during stressful situations. You’ll use scanning devices and software to program keys and remotes while keeping up with vehicle security updates. You’ll stay updated on the latest devices, firmware changes, and compatibility issues through regular tech briefings. You’ll help clients feel empowered and secure with their new systems — not confused or overwhelmed by the tech. You’ll rotate on-call shifts, including nights or weekends, to respond to emergency lockout situations. You’ll work mostly during the day with optional weekend or evening calls depending on demand. No prior locksmith experience required — just mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and the willingness to learn a high-demand skill.
