Description:

We’re welcoming a Nanny Intern who’s ready to learn how to care for children with patience, creativity, and responsibility. You’ll assist the primary caregiver in managing daily routines that vary by age — from toddler naps to school pick-ups. You’ll support age-appropriate educational activities like counting games, shape sorting, basic reading, and memory-building exercises. You’ll help track sleep, feeding, and mood patterns — learning how small details make a big difference in infant care. You’ll support the creation of a calm, positive atmosphere where children feel safe, seen, and heard. You’ll observe how to introduce tummy time, age-appropriate sensory play, and gentle verbal engagement. You’ll support age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, storytelling, educational games, and outdoor time. You’ll learn how to manage routines like morning prep, quiet time, bath time, and bedtime with consistency and calm. You’ll learn how to engage children in storytelling, crafts, games, and light educational exercises based on their age and needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Communicate regularly with parents about the child's mood, milestones, and any concerns.
• Take initiative when needed, but also ask questions when unsure of a family’s preferences.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks based on family preferences and dietary needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the family’s privacy and parenting style at all times.
• Change diapers, assist with potty training, and teach basic hygiene and self-care skills.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in early childhood education, family care, or child psychology.
• Comfortable with light housekeeping related to the child, including laundry, tidying play areas, and dishwashing.
• Can handle multiple children and maintain calm, focused attention during busy or chaotic moments.
• Comfortable preparing nutritious meals and snacks based on the child’s dietary needs or parental guidelines.
• Follows instructions closely and communicates regularly with parents regarding the child’s behavior or needs.
