Description:

We’re looking for a Flight Dispatcher who can think like a pilot, act like a strategist, and stay calm when everything is in motion. You won’t be in the cockpit, but you’ll be part of every takeoff, every course correction, every safe landing. While passengers sip coffee at the gate, you’ll already be deep into wind speeds, pressure maps, and runway conditions. You’ll study weather charts, NOTAMs, airspace restrictions, and traffic patterns like a detective with a deadline. Working hand-in-hand with pilots, air traffic control, and ground staff, you’ll ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance at every step. You’ll monitor en route progress, alert crews to hazards, and adjust plans in real-time when the unexpected happens. You’ll collaborate with pilots, ATC, ramp crews, and operations staff, creating a seamless flow of information and action. You’ll operate under strict regulations, and know them so well they become second nature in every decision you make. You’ll monitor each flight as it happens, like a conductor listening to every note in a moving symphony. Your calm voice over the headset can bring comfort during chaos and clarity when minutes feel like seconds.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Collaborate with maintenance, fueling, catering, and gate agents to ensure aircraft readiness for timely pushback.
  • Prepare and file flight plans with the appropriate aviation authorities and update plans dynamically as needed.
  • Respond rapidly to emergency or irregular operations (IROPs), including delays, mechanical issues, diversions, or re-routing needs.
  • Evaluate meteorological data including turbulence reports, wind speeds, icing conditions, and visibility to make safety-first operational decisions.
  • Support recovery planning during irregular ops—finding alternate routings, adjusting connections, and minimizing disruption impact.

Preferred:

  • Works well as part of an operations control center (OCC) team or similar environment.
  • Background or certification in aviation, air traffic management, or flight operations.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment where safety is the top priority.
  • Pays close attention to dispatch logs, weather briefings, and route clearances.
  • Interested in improving dispatch efficiency, minimizing disruptions, and supporting punctual departures.

Benefits:

  • We provide ongoing certification, simulator training, and compliance updates — safety is a shared priority.
  • You’ll help keep crews informed, passengers safe, and the airline on schedule — that’s real impact.
  • We provide access to live systems, weather data, NOTAMs, flight plans, and training — but your judgment and calm under pressure are key.
  • You’ll build flight plans, analyze aircraft performance, manage delays, and adjust to dynamic conditions in real time.
  • You’ll be recognized for your ability to stay cool in high-stakes moments — and that skill grows every day.

This role isn’t for the easily distracted — it’s for the focused, the composed, the ones who love the weight of responsibility. , in tough weather, or across time zones. Your communication will be fast, factual, and unshakably clear, even at 3 a. m. Every day you’ll write a dozen invisible flight paths — and feel proud when every one of them ends exactly as it should. You’ll embrace the pressure, knowing that your choices impact lives, timelines, and entire operations. If you think clearly under pressure, love aviation deeply, and want to guide flights with your mind — this is your place in the sky. This role isn’t glamorous — but for those who love aviation deeply, it’s as vital as the aircraft itself. Aviation is timing, teamwork, and trust — and as a Flight Dispatcher, you’ll be at the center of it all.
