Description:

We’re hiring a Pastry Decorator who treats every dessert as a canvas — someone with artistic flair, attention to detail, and a deep love for crafting sweets that wow on sight. You’ll work on custom orders for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, corporate events, and more — each with its own theme, challenge, and flair. You’ll use piping bags, fondant tools, edible paints, and sculpting techniques to bring each design to life. You’ll work with buttercream, royal icing, modeling chocolate, fondant, and airbrushing tools to create textures and effects. We’ll rely on you to sculpt figurines, hand-pipe floral patterns, and create custom toppers with precision and personality. You’ll also prepare décor elements in advance and ensure all materials are food-safe, fresh, and visually consistent. You’ll also prep ingredients and decorations ahead of time to streamline the decorating process and reduce downtime. You’ll maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow hygiene and food safety protocols at all times. You’ll also guide clients on what’s possible (and what’s not), balancing creative ambition with practical execution.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay current on trends in pastry art, color palettes, and themed styling.
• Collaborate with bakers and kitchen staff to coordinate timing and freshness of decorated items.
• Manage decorating timelines to ensure all orders are completed on schedule and ready for pickup or service.
• Ensure consistent quality by following recipes, color guides, and design references.
• Help train junior decorators or assistants in techniques, standards, and safe handling.

Preferred:

• Experience decorating cakes, cupcakes, pastries, or cookies for events, bakeries, or custom orders.
• Values precision, patience, and creativity in food presentation.
• Knows how to handle delicate decorations, temperature-sensitive ingredients, and storage requirements.
• Able to replicate designs across batches with consistency and quality control.
• Familiar with photographing and presenting finished pastries for marketing or portfolio use.
