Description:

We’re seeking a Medical Registrar Intern who wants to contribute to patient care by ensuring that all administrative processes run smoothly and professionally. You’ll be one of the first smiles patients see, greeting them with kindness and helping ease any nerves or confusion about their visit. You’ll assist with registering new patients, checking identification, and verifying insurance or referral information. You will be trained to manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and referrals using approved scheduling platforms. You’ll help organize patient files, scan important documents, and make sure doctors have what they need before each appointment. You’ll help manage walk-in traffic, prepare waiting lists, and communicate estimated wait times calmly and clearly. You will learn how to manage front desk responsibilities, including call handling, visitor flow, and responding to general inquiries. You’ll be trained to use our healthcare software and shown how to double-check entries for accuracy and completeness. You will assist in monitoring admission logs, maintaining filing systems, and generating basic daily reports.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure that patient care aligns with current clinical guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures, central lines, or chest drains depending on specialty.
• Work closely with consultants, junior doctors, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Participate in on-call rotations, handling admissions, consults, and urgent reviews after hours.
• Assess and manage patients in inpatient wards, emergency departments, or specialty clinics.

Preferred:

• Pays close attention to patient history, comorbidities, and risk factors in both acute and chronic care.
• Able to manage acute cases, lead ward rounds, and supervise junior doctors and interns effectively.
• Knowledge of clinical guidelines, protocols, and evidence-based practices within their specialty area.
• Keeps up to date with current medical literature, conferences, and examination preparation.
• Familiar with electronic health records (EHRs), medication charts, and multidisciplinary care planning.
