Description:

We’re hiring a Medical Registrar Trainee who’s ready to step into the administrative side of healthcare and support smooth patient flow in a clinical setting. You’ll start by observing how patient data is recorded, updated, and handled with confidentiality and accuracy. You’ll assist in collecting and verifying patient details, medical history, and contact information before appointments. You’ll be trained to enter medical information into electronic systems, ensuring every record is clear and compliant with policy. You’ll support front desk staff by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and directing patient queries with professionalism. You’ll work at the front desk, welcoming patients and helping reduce stress by clearly explaining what to expect during their visit. You’ll answer incoming calls and emails — calmly helping with appointment questions, directions, and reassurance when needed. You’ll be taught how to explain basic procedures, give directions inside the facility, or escalate clinical questions to medical staff. You’ll assist in tracking no-shows, rescheduling appointments, and keeping waiting lists in order.

Basic Qualifications:

• Escalate complex or high-risk cases to senior clinicians while maintaining responsibility for ongoing care.
• Participate in on-call rotations, handling admissions, consults, and urgent reviews after hours.
• Support safe prescribing practices, review medication charts, and monitor for interactions or side effects.
• Maintain registration, certifications, and ongoing training as required by regulatory bodies.
• Work closely with consultants, junior doctors, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated care.

Preferred:

• Able to work efficiently during night shifts, on-call rotations, and high-pressure clinical environments.
• Can manage complex cases, escalate appropriately, and contribute to morbidity/mortality reviews.
• Can provide emergency care, perform necessary procedures, and consult with other departments as required.
• Knowledge of clinical guidelines, protocols, and evidence-based practices within their specialty area.
• Willing to adapt to department needs, rotating specialties, or new care models as part of training.
