Description:

We’re looking for a Pastry Decorator who turns desserts into works of art — someone who combines precision, patience, and creativity to make every cake, tart, and pastry visually unforgettable. You’ll be responsible for decorating a wide variety of baked goods, from birthday cakes and wedding tiers to seasonal pastries and signature desserts. You’ll use piping bags, fondant tools, edible paints, and sculpting techniques to bring each design to life. You’ll collaborate with executive chefs and planners to ensure every creation aligns with theme, palette, and overall event aesthetic. You’ll work with buttercream, ganache, fondant, chocolate, and glaze — knowing when to go bold and when to keep it simple. You’ll follow custom order sheets carefully and make sure every personalized request is honored — names spelled right, colors matched, sizes correct. You’ll help prep décor elements in batches, from sugar flowers to piped embellishments and painted accents. You’ll test and refine new design ideas, contributing to seasonal collections and exclusive client offerings. You’ll contribute to seasonal collections, new menu items, and display concepts that reflect current trends and customer tastes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain a clean and organized decorating station with all tools and ingredients prepped and ready.
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards at every step of the decorating process.
• Repair minor flaws or damages on baked goods quickly and cleanly when needed.
• Photograph finished products for portfolio, social media, or marketing use.
• Document and label orders to avoid mix-ups, especially with personalized messages or complex designs.

Preferred:

• Organized with tracking orders, timelines, and decorative elements for each pastry project.
• Values precision, patience, and creativity in food presentation.
• Understands how to price decoration work appropriately based on detail, size, and time.
• Familiar with photographing and presenting finished pastries for marketing or portfolio use.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Cake Decorator, Bakery Owner, or Pastry Chef.
