Description:

We’re hiring a Barista Trainee to join our in-office café team, where consistency, professionalism, and warm service are key to starting the workday right for hundreds of guests. You’ll start by shadowing experienced baristas, learning how to operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment. You’ll greet regulars by name, remembering their go-to orders and making their mornings smoother with quick, friendly service. You’ll assist in pulling shots, steaming milk, and building drinks that meet the same high standard every time. You’ll help serve everything from flat whites to iced matchas — and discover the little rituals that turn drinks into experiences. You’ll support mobile setup and teardown, learning how to pack equipment safely and efficiently for transport. You’ll learn how to work clean and fast, keeping your station tidy while handling multiple drink tickets at once. You’ll be trained in professional presentation, time management, and how to stay composed even when orders stack up. You’ll help support daily rituals like cuppings, team calibration, and opening the café with intention and flow.

Basic Qualifications:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks with consistency and care.
• Memorize the menu, including seasonal specials and alternative options for dietary needs.
• Keep track of ingredient levels and restock supplies like beans, syrups, cups, and napkins as needed.
• Ensure proper brewing techniques, milk frothing, and latte art for a great visual and taste experience.
• Clean equipment regularly and report any technical issues to management.

Preferred:

• Friendly and engaging with customers, capable of taking orders clearly and offering product recommendations.
• Open to learning seasonal drink menus, new preparation methods, and promotional offerings.
• Familiar with basic coffee bean knowledge, roast profiles, and brewing techniques (e.g., pour-over, French press, cold brew).
• Open to offering samples, upselling, and sharing product knowledge with curious customers.
• Organized with restocking ingredients, labeling items, and managing inventory for shift readiness.
