Description:

We’re offering an Animator Trainee role for someone who’s excited to turn ideas into movement and still images into performance — no prior experience needed, just passion, discipline, and a love for animated storytelling. You’ll assist in animating characters, props, and environments for games, videos, or interactive experiences under the guidance of senior animators. We’ll teach you how to block out key poses, refine timing, and polish arcs until a character feels like they’re thinking, not just moving. You’ll study acting principles and learn how to translate emotion into posture, rhythm, and subtle gestures. Expect to use tools like After Effects, Spine, Blender, or Maya — depending on the project and your learning goals. You’ll help export animation assets, manage file structures, and learn how animation integrates with design and development. We’ll guide you in using tools like Maya, Blender, or Spine to deliver clean, rigged animation data. You’ll participate in feedback sessions where we refine motion together — based on flow, rhythm, and intention. You’ll collaborate with riggers, modelers, and sound designers to make sure your animations integrate smoothly across the pipeline.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain a high attention to detail, especially in fast-paced or high-volume pipelines.
• Ensure timing, movement, and weight feel believable—even in stylized or exaggerated animation styles.
• Animate everything from subtle facial expressions to complex action sequences.
• Adapt animations based on gameplay needs, UI interactions, or platform limitations.
• Have fun animating—when you love the motion, it shows in every frame.

Preferred:

• Capable of rigging characters or using pre-built rigs to create expressive movement.
• Comfortable animating characters, objects, UI elements, or environments depending on the project needs.
• Able to create storyboards, animatics, and keyframe sequences that convey emotion and motion clearly.
• Values movement as a storytelling tool and emotional amplifier.
• Background or passion in animation, motion design, visual storytelling, or character performance.
