Description:

We’re hiring a skilled Translation Specialist to join our team and provide accurate and culturally relevant translations for a variety of content. You’ll be responsible for translating written content across different industries, maintaining accuracy and cultural relevance. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure all translations meet client requirements and are aligned with their brand voice. You’ll assist with localizing content, ensuring it is culturally appropriate for target audiences while keeping the original meaning intact. You’ll ensure that your translations are clear, concise, and free of errors, making them suitable for the target audience. You’ll use translation software and tools to increase efficiency while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. You’ll handle technical, legal, and general translations, requiring both linguistic expertise and subject-specific knowledge. You’ll participate in quality assurance processes to review translations, ensuring they meet client specifications and standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use quality assurance tools to run checks for missing segments, formatting issues, or term mismatches.
• Collaborate with editors, proofreaders, or QA reviewers to refine and finalize translated content.
• Provide context-aware suggestions or rephrasing when literal translations would be confusing or unnatural.
• Ultimately, act as a language bridge—making sure that meaning travels across borders without getting lost in translation.
• Translate both general and specialized content (medical, legal, technical, financial, etc.) depending on your expertise.

Preferred:

• Organized with file naming, version control, and translation tracking tools.
• Excited to help individuals and organizations reach new audiences through language.
• Understands how to preserve tone, context, and cultural relevance in translation.
• Experience working with bilingual documents, spreadsheets, or presentations.
• Familiar with basic localization practices for websites, apps, or digital products.
