Description:

We’re looking for a Nanny Trainee who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and is eager to learn how to support their development in a safe, nurturing environment. You’ll assist the primary caregiver in managing daily routines that vary by age — from toddler naps to school pick-ups. You’ll help with basic care such as feeding, diaper changes, dressing, and guiding children through their daily routines. You’ll assist in organizing indoor and outdoor play activities that are both fun and age-appropriate. You’ll be shown how to track small developmental milestones and support physical, social, and cognitive growth. You’ll support language development, teach basic manners, and encourage curiosity through conversation and interaction. You’ll learn how to adapt your tone and approach to different ages — from toddlers to early school-age children. You’ll learn how to manage routines like morning prep, quiet time, bath time, and bedtime with consistency and calm. You’ll be trained in observing signs of developmental delays or emotional distress and how to report them appropriately.

Basic Qualifications:

• Manage your time effectively to balance play, meals, learning, and rest.
• Stay up to date on basic first aid, CPR, and child safety practices.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks based on family preferences and dietary needs.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment, including tidying play areas and washing children’s laundry.
• Read books, play games, and offer creative outlets like arts and crafts or music time.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in early childhood education, family care, or child psychology.
• Pays attention to emotional well-being and uses positive discipline methods when necessary.
• Follows instructions closely and communicates regularly with parents regarding the child’s behavior or needs.
• Able to organize creative activities such as crafts, music, games, or story time to stimulate imagination.
• Organized with managing the child’s clothing, toys, hygiene routines, and personal belongings.
