Description:

We’re hiring a Security System Installer Trainee who’s excited about smart homes, automation, and making technology work for safety. You’ll ride along with trained techs, visiting homes, offices, warehouses, and retail stores to help install real security systems. We’ll start you with the basics: how to use tools safely, run cable through walls, and follow installation diagrams. You’ll assist experienced technicians on real job sites — homes, offices, shops — learning how systems are set up in different environments. You’ll help set up systems that sync with mobile apps, smart assistants, and cloud storage for real-time access. You’ll learn how to connect hubs, run diagnostics, and update firmware to ensure everything works smoothly. You’ll also learn how to troubleshoot issues, fix common problems, and understand the flow of wiring and signal paths. You’ll work in homes and businesses, learning how to adapt installations to different layouts and client needs. Each day will build your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and confidence working with your hands.

Basic Qualifications:

• Coordinate with clients to schedule installation times that work for them.
• Be available for emergency repairs or support calls when necessary.
• Inspect old or malfunctioning systems and recommend replacements.
• Provide maintenance and upgrades when systems need a refresh or add-ons.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and make quick adjustments as needed.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Installer, Field Supervisor, or Security Consultant.
• Understands data privacy concerns and ensures client systems are installed securely and ethically.
• Familiar with running cables, mounting cameras, setting up DVR/NVR systems, and testing sensors.
• Enjoys solving problems and working with both hardware and software tools.
• Able to document completed installations with photos, checklists, and client sign-off forms.
