We’re hiring a Public Relations Specialist Trainee who’s ready to dive into the world of storytelling, reputation management, and brand communication — no experience required, just strong writing skills and a curious, collaborative attitude. You’ll assist in drafting press releases, preparing media kits, and researching relevant journalists or influencers. We’ll teach you how to monitor brand mentions, track media coverage, and spot opportunities for positive exposure. You’ll support coordination with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to help get the right message to the right people. Expect to participate in real campaigns, from product launches to reputation management efforts. You’ll learn how to write for voice, not just grammar — mastering how tone changes depending on the outlet or platform. We’ll show you how to handle both positive PR and sensitive communication moments with professionalism and care. You’ll get experience with press release formatting, tone of voice guidelines, and brand narrative alignment. We’ll introduce you to the tools of the trade — like media databases, coverage trackers, and sentiment analysis dashboards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Write FAQs, talking points, and internal comms to support consistent messaging during sensitive situations.
- Help the company stay likable, relatable, and trustworthy in the public eye.
- Organize press kits, media briefings, and backgrounders that make it easy for journalists to cover you.
- Manage crisis communications by staying calm, strategic, and two steps ahead.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, responding quickly to both praise and PR crises.
Preferred:
- Willing to help shape talking points, FAQs, and key messaging for leadership or spokespeople.
- Familiar with building and maintaining media contact lists and outreach strategies.
- Experienced in writing for both B2B and B2C audiences depending on brand goals.
- Understands how to manage brand reputation and craft messaging for different audiences.
- Pays attention to tone, consistency, and brand guidelines across all public communication.
