We’re offering a Public Relations Specialist Trainee position for someone who’s passionate about communication, storytelling, and building public trust — no experience required, just strong instincts, curiosity, and attention to tone. You’ll help shape how the world sees a brand by assisting in crafting press releases, pitches, and strategic messaging. We’ll teach you how to monitor brand mentions, track media coverage, and spot opportunities for positive exposure. You’ll assist with media lists, daily monitoring, and tracking brand mentions across press and social platforms. Expect to monitor brand mentions, scan headlines, and flag opportunities or risks in real time. You’ll also support social media messaging, company blogs, and cross-channel communication with a PR lens. We’ll show you how to handle both positive PR and sensitive communication moments with professionalism and care. You’ll get experience with press release formatting, tone of voice guidelines, and brand narrative alignment. You’ll be included in team discussions about positioning, timing, and media angles that spark coverage.

Basic Qualifications:

• Manage crisis communications by staying calm, strategic, and two steps ahead.
• Collaborate with marketing, social, and leadership teams to align messaging across all channels.
• Respond to media inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and quick turnaround times.
• Stay up to date with media law, ethics, and best practices in public communication.
• Maintain a media contact list and update it regularly to reflect current relationships.

Preferred:

• Values credibility, clarity, and storytelling in all public-facing messaging.
• Able to coordinate interviews, press events, and public appearances with journalists or influencers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional tone.
• Experience drafting press releases, media pitches, speeches, or internal communication memos.
• Familiar with social media strategy and how PR integrates with digital marketing efforts.
