Description:

We’re looking for a talented Podcast Editor to join our team and help deliver high-quality audio content for our audience. You’ll be responsible for editing raw podcast audio, including cutting, mixing, and improving sound quality to produce polished final episodes. You’ll collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to understand the desired tone, pacing, and style for each episode. You’ll add music, sound effects, and transitions to enhance the listener’s experience, ensuring the content is both engaging and professional. You’ll ensure each episode is engaging and polished, adding music, sound effects, and transitions to improve the listening experience. You’ll manage the post-production process, including syncing audio, enhancing sound quality, and optimizing for various platforms. You’ll work within tight deadlines, managing multiple episodes at once and ensuring timely delivery of each episode. You’ll assist in creating promotional snippets, teasers, or audiograms to promote episodes across social media and other platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

• Balance audio levels, apply EQ and compression, and clean up vocals to ensure clarity and consistency across all speakers.
• Respect NDAs and privacy when working with unreleased or sensitive content.
• Support upload and publishing workflows—uploading to platforms like Libsyn, Anchor, Buzzsprout, or a custom CMS.
• Maintain an archive of raw and edited files, keeping backups organized for future edits, remasters, or republishing needs.
• Handle last-minute edits or emergencies professionally—podcasting is fast-paced, and agility matters.

Preferred:

• Pays attention to pacing, tone, and overall listener experience throughout the episode.
• Can add intro/outro music, transitions, sponsor messages, or sound effects as needed.
• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Audio Editor, Podcast Producer, or Creative Director.
• Familiar with audio enhancements such as compression, EQ, and normalization.
• Familiar with podcast publishing tools like Anchor, Libsyn, Buzzsprout, or RSS management.

You’ll stay up to date with the latest trends in podcast production and audio editing techniques to continually improve your skills. You’ll be part of a collaborative remote team, contributing to the success of an exciting and dynamic podcast series.
