Description:
We’re hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician who takes pride in the quiet, precise work that helps doctors see the full picture. You’ll handle patient specimens with care, consistency, and full awareness of the responsibility in your hands. You’ll be trained in how to handle biological samples with care, label them correctly, and avoid the small mistakes that can make a big difference. You’ll assist in handling real patient samples — blood, urine, swabs — and learn the importance of accuracy at every stage. You’ll be trained to understand how lab results influence diagnoses, and why getting it right — even behind the scenes — changes everything. You’ll start with basics: labeling tubes, organizing paperwork, prepping stations, shadowing sample processing, and cleaning equipment with care. You’ll work with pathologists, physicians, and nurses to deliver results that drive real medical decisions. You’ll get familiar with the importance of timing, temperature, labeling, documentation, and how small lapses can delay big decisions. You’ll juggle routine tests and critical requests while keeping contamination risks close to zero. Documentation will be a core part of your duties — not just recording results, but understanding how documentation builds audit trails.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ultimately, help deliver fast, accurate, and reliable lab results that directly impact patient diagnosis and treatment decisions.
- Contribute ideas for workflow optimization, equipment upgrades, or procedural improvements to improve turnaround times.
- Record and report test results accurately into laboratory information systems (LIS), ensuring timely delivery to physicians and healthcare teams.
- Follow proper biosafety and infection control procedures when handling specimens to ensure a safe laboratory environment.
- Keep current with new testing methods, laboratory techniques, and industry standards through continued education or training.
Preferred:
- Wants to grow into roles like Medical Technologist, Lab Supervisor, or Clinical Research Coordinator.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance (e.g. CLIA, HIPAA).
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, or on-call schedules in a 24/7 lab environment.
- Familiar with laboratory equipment including centrifuges, microscopes, and automated analyzers.
- Can assist in quality control checks and recognize deviations that may affect results.
Benefits:
- You’re part of a respected, tight-knit team where everyone knows their role — and yours is foundational.
- Your consistency, clarity, and sterile technique are recognized, not taken for granted.
- Work in a modern, well-equipped lab where your accuracy directly supports diagnostics and patient care.
- Your reports help catch diseases early, guide treatment, and reassure or protect lives — and that impact is not taken lightly.
- You’ll have input into workflow design, equipment upgrades, and procedural improvements.
We’ll show you how to stay calm on busy days, keep your station tidy, and maintain a mindset of quiet confidence under pressure. You’ll support preparation of reagents, cleaning of equipment, and maintenance of lab cleanliness to minimize contamination risk. You’ll be evaluated not by what you know, but by how seriously you approach accuracy, hygiene, punctuality, and adherence to task instructions. You’ll grow into someone who others can count on — the one who quietly makes sure nothing is missed, spilled, mislabeled, or left incomplete. You’ll help keep the lab stocked, the workflow moving, and the results accurate. You may work quietly, but your impact speaks volumes through every result you deliver. If you’re serious about building a real future in laboratory science — and ready to start with full focus and full humility — we’d love to train you. You’ll begin as an observer, but you’re expected to grow into a contributor — someone trusted to perform basic procedures to protocol. If you’re ready to build serious technical habits, work under strict standards, and grow in a professional medical lab setting — we’re ready to train you properly.
