Description:
We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who’s ready to jump into the fast-paced, high-volume world of agency content production. You’ll assist with editing episodes, formatting timelines, adding lower thirds, and making dialogue feel tighter and cleaner without losing flow. You’ll help sort through hours of raw footage, cut out filler, balance audio levels, and shape conversations into something engaging and watchable. You’ll learn how to mix talking heads with b-roll, screenshots, screen recordings, and animations to keep things visually fresh. You’ll work with intro/outro templates, apply transitions, insert chapter markers, and align visuals with topic changes. You’ll learn how to optimize for different platforms: 9:16 for TikTok, 1:1 for Insta, 16:9 for YouTube — and why each one needs a different rhythm. You’ll learn to color correct, mix audio, apply transitions (without overdoing it), and export for different platforms. You’ll start by handling rough cuts, sound syncing, and basic formatting — then gradually take on more polished, client-facing edits. You’ll be expected to revise quickly, handle feedback professionally, and ask questions when things feel unclear — we value clarity over guessing. Would I share this?
Basic Qualifications:
- Sync audio and video, remove background noise, and adjust levels to ensure high-quality sound and clarity.
- Organize and manage project files, assets, and backups for easy access and future edits—maintaining clean and efficient workflows.
- Add motion graphics, titles, sound effects, background music, and color correction to enhance visual quality and viewer experience.
- Review footage critically—choosing the best takes and spotting visual or continuity issues before export.
- Collaborate with social media or marketing teams to adapt content for paid ads, email campaigns, or landing pages.
Preferred:
- Familiar with exporting and compressing videos for web, social media, or broadcast use.
- Experience editing short-form and long-form videos for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or corporate presentations.
- Able to follow a creative brief and work within brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Comfortable working solo or in a team, remotely or in-studio.
- Can meet deadlines on tight turnaround projects without sacrificing quality.
Benefits:
- You’ll build a real portfolio of published, credited work — not ghost-edited drafts.
- You’ll help shape the voice and visual identity of our brand or clients — frame by frame.
- Flexible hours — edit when you’re in flow, whether that’s 7am or 2am.
- Your edits will be published, shared, and seen — not lost in a folder.
- You’re not “just editing” — you’re shaping attention, emotion, and message.
You’ll be editing with templates, but also encouraged to go freestyle when the concept calls for originality or experimentation. You’ll edit for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels, maybe even LinkedIn if we’re feeling wild — and learn how each platform thinks differently. You’ll improve your skills not just technically, but editorially — learning to feel pacing, build tension, and know when a moment needs to breathe. You’ll organize assets, name files properly, and learn that even chaotic content needs structured folders. You’ll learn from senior editors how to work with minimal direction, but maximum clarity and accountability. You’ll finish this internship with more confidence, sharper skills, and work you’re proud to include in your reel. You’ll walk away with real credits, real clips, and a real understanding of how creators and editors build digital shows together. If you love timelines longer than 10 minutes, storytelling through pacing, and fixing “we’ll edit this later” moments — this internship is for you. If you think in clips, hear beats in your head, and genuinely enjoy finding “the hook” — this internship was made for you.
