Description:

We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator Trainee for our smart production floor — where automation, precision, and continuous improvement work hand in hand. You’ll work alongside experienced machinists who will teach you how to run high-precision equipment safely, efficiently, and with pride in every part you help produce. You’ll be introduced to CNC machines that run with sensors, digital dashboards, tool-life monitoring, and built-in quality alerts — and we’ll show you how it all works. Once you’re ready, you’ll transition to nights, where your job is to keep parts moving, tools sharp, and tolerances tight. You’ll run CNC equipment during off-hours, with support nearby but not always right next to you — and that trust means something here. You’ll run aluminum, stainless, or plastics — and start to understand how different materials behave under speed, feed, and coolant changes. You’ll learn how to read digital readouts, make minor offset adjustments, and stop the machine when something doesn’t sound right. You’ll clean and maintain your machine daily — because uptime starts with proper care and attention. You’ll learn why precision starts before the cycle runs — from coolant flow to machine warmup, from zero offsets to tool height settings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or routers to produce parts according to technical drawings or blueprints.
  • Work with a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, plastics, or composites depending on production needs.
  • Stay current with updates in CNC technology, machining techniques, and material handling procedures through ongoing learning.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and transfer of completed parts to the next stage of production or quality control.
  • Identify and flag non-conforming parts for rework or scrap, following proper procedures and documentation protocols.

Preferred:

  • Open to working multiple shifts, including nights or weekends based on plant schedules.
  • Can work independently or with minimal supervision while meeting production targets.
  • Understands the importance of minimizing downtime and maintaining consistent output.
  • Can adjust feed rates, spindle speeds, or tool paths to improve part quality or reduce cycle time.
  • Comfortable using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to inspect finished parts.

Benefits:

  • Clear path to senior operator roles — no dead ends here.
  • We don’t expect perfection on day one — we teach, not criticize.
  • Work in a place where things get built — see your impact every day.
  • You’ll be operating top-grade CNC equipment — not museum pieces.
  • We train and upskill — no experience? No problem, we’ve got your back.

You’ll clean your work area, remove chips, and make sure your machine is ready for the next shift, every single night. You’ll follow a routine that rewards consistency, patience, and staying one step ahead of the process. You’ll learn new materials, tool types, and cutting techniques as we evolve our processes and expand our capabilities. You’ll work in a calm, focused environment where speed comes only after consistency, and no one rushes what must be exact. You’ll clean, inspect, and reset your station at the end of each cycle — because good automation still depends on human care. You’ll operate with consistency, focus, and a respect for craftsmanship that goes beyond just pressing "start. You’ll finish this internship with real hands-on skill, industry vocabulary, and a clear sense of whether this path is truly yours. If you believe real quality starts at the machine — and you’re ready to run with precision — we’re ready to work with you. ” If you value quiet focus, technical skill, and the satisfaction of solo work done well — we’re ready to train you after dark.
