Description:

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Online English Tutor to help students develop their English language skills. You’ll design customized lesson plans that cater to the specific needs and learning goals of each student. You’ll teach English to students of various levels, from beginners to advanced learners, helping them build vocabulary, grammar, and fluency. You’ll provide constructive feedback, encouraging students to improve their speaking, writing, and comprehension skills. You’ll assess student progress and provide regular feedback to keep them motivated and on track to achieve their learning goals. You’ll assist with exam preparation, helping students review for tests like TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge English exams. You’ll monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans as necessary to ensure effective learning outcomes. You’ll work with students to help them prepare for English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, and others.

Basic Qualifications:

• Correct pronunciation, sentence structure, and usage gently during lessons, explaining errors in a clear, constructive way.
• Use tools like Google Docs, Canva, or interactive whiteboards to share visuals, worksheets, or notes in real time.
• Maintain clear communication with students (and/or parents) regarding scheduling, cancellations, and expectations.
• Assess students' progress regularly through quizzes, speaking practice, and personalized feedback.
• Encourage shy or beginner learners through praise, repetition, and gentle correction.

Preferred:

• Knows how to give constructive feedback and correct mistakes without discouraging students.
• Familiar with CEFR levels (A1–C2) and basic language assessment principles.
• Understands how to build engaging lesson plans based on student goals and interests.
• Fluent or near-native level of English with clear pronunciation and grammar.
• Experience preparing students for tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or general conversation practice.

You’ll assist students in developing their speaking skills by guiding discussions and providing useful feedback on pronunciation.
