We’re hiring Paramedic Dispatcher Trainees — no experience required, just a sharp mind, tech readiness, and the ability to focus when it counts most. This job will test you — not physically, but mentally — because you’ll hear fear, confusion, and panic on the other end of the line. You’ll be the first voice someone hears in their worst moment, and how you speak can change everything. You’ll learn how to gather critical information fast: location, condition, situation — without missing a beat. You’ll learn to track ambulances in real time, prioritize incoming calls, and dispatch units with speed and precision. You’ll hear fear, pain, confusion — but your calm tone will be the first sign that help is coming. You’ll learn to recognize signs of burnout, how to take mental breaks, and how to separate the urgency of a call from your personal peace. We’ll show you how to breathe through panic, speak with compassion, and keep your thoughts clear when lives are at stake. We’ll teach you how to debrief, reset, and prepare for the next call, even when the last one shook you.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• Double-check call details to reduce dispatch errors and miscommunications.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with all caller and patient data.
• Provide callers with step-by-step instructions for basic first aid or CPR until help arrives.
• Support paramedics with info like access codes, hazards, or language barriers.

Preferred:

• Committed to continuous performance review and improving response efficiency.
• Wants to grow into roles like EMS Supervisor, Communications Coordinator, or 911 Operations Manager.
• Values composure, speed, and empathy in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
• Organized with handling multiple calls, dispatches, and updates simultaneously.
• Familiar with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and radio communication protocols.
