Join our team as a Security System Installer Trainee — no experience required, just a willingness to learn and a drive to work hands-on in the field. You’ll learn how to install, wire, and configure security systems like cameras, motion detectors, and alarms step by step. You’ll start by assisting on real installations: unboxing smart devices, organizing cables, and prepping work areas. You’ll start by helping with basic tasks: unpacking gear, mounting cameras, and pulling wire through walls and ceilings. You’ll learn to set up motion sensors, door contacts, alarm panels, and video doorbells step by step. You’ll learn how to connect hubs, run diagnostics, and update firmware to ensure everything works smoothly. Expect to use drills, testers, crimping tools, cable fishers, and mobile tablets as part of your daily work. You’ll learn how to think ahead, avoid mistakes, and double-check everything — because trust is built in the details. Each day will build your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and confidence working with your hands.

Basic Qualifications:

• Always double-check connections and configurations before wrapping up a job.
• Climb ladders, drill holes, and mount equipment neatly and safely.
• Install security systems like cameras, motion detectors, and alarm panels in homes and businesses.
• Stay calm and patient with clients who may not be tech-savvy.
• Stay current with the latest tech in home and commercial security systems.

Preferred:

• Comfortable working at heights, in attics, basements, or confined spaces when routing cables.
• Able to adapt to different brands, models, and evolving technologies in the security space.
• Understands data privacy concerns and ensures client systems are installed securely and ethically.
• Able to document completed installations with photos, checklists, and client sign-off forms.
• Can perform walk-throughs with clients to demonstrate how to use their new systems.
