Description:

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Online Research Assistant to support our team with accurate and insightful research. You’ll conduct in-depth online research, compiling information from reliable sources and presenting it in an organized manner. You’ll sift through articles, reports, and other resources, extracting the key insights and data points that are most valuable to our team. You’ll use search engines, academic journals, databases, and other online resources to find the most relevant information. You’ll organize research findings into reports, presentations, and summaries that are clear, concise, and easy for the team to digest. You’ll assist with competitive analysis, tracking industry shifts, and finding new opportunities for growth and development. You’ll ensure all sources are credible, verified, and aligned with the research goals, providing accurate and trustworthy data. You’ll verify the accuracy of information, cross-checking multiple sources to ensure credibility and reliability. You’ll use your analytical skills to identify patterns and trends that can influence strategy and business planning.

Basic Qualifications:

• Document your sources properly, including date, author, and link, to support transparency and credibility.
• Manage multiple research tasks at once, prioritizing deadlines and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
• Be comfortable working async and independently—research often means long solo sessions before sharing results.
• Summarize findings clearly in Google Docs, Notion, or spreadsheets—highlighting key points, links, and insights in a clean format.
• Communicate findings clearly and professionally—no jargon unless requested.

Preferred:

• Open to receiving feedback and refining results for clarity or focus.
• Has worked with briefs or instructions and can deliver structured research results.
• Familiar with niche databases, LinkedIn search, academic journals, or market data tools.
• Knows how to spot biases or inconsistencies in sources or information.
• Wants to grow into roles like Content Strategist, Research Analyst, or Data Journalist.
