Description:
We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who wants to learn how long-form content like YouTube shows, interviews, and podcasts come together behind the scenes. You’ll assist with editing episodes, formatting timelines, adding lower thirds, and making dialogue feel tighter and cleaner without losing flow. You’ll work closely with our creative and marketing teams to turn raw footage into scroll-stopping, client-ready, emotionally sharp edits. You’ll cut, trim, subtitle, reformat, resize, and occasionally breathe life into “meh” footage with sharp timing and music instinct. You’ll help manage video assets across multiple clients — naming files properly, keeping folders clean, and making re-edits painless. You’ll organize footage, sync audio, clean color, and add motion or music that elevates, not distracts. You’ll learn to color correct, mix audio, apply transitions (without overdoing it), and export for different platforms. You’ll help prep social cutdowns from full episodes, pulling strong quotes or segments that work in 30–90 second formats. You’ll be expected to revise quickly, handle feedback professionally, and ask questions when things feel unclear — we value clarity over guessing. You’ll keep files clean, exports optimized, and timelines organized — because chaos is not creative.
Basic Qualifications:
- Export final videos in various formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions depending on platform requirements (e.g., 16:9, 9:16, 1:1).
- Apply basic VFX or animations as needed to bring concepts to life and hold audience attention.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions by suggesting creative ways to present content visually.
- Assist in creating content calendars, shot lists, or storyboards when needed to plan video production in advance.
- Keep up with editing trends on social platforms (jump cuts, text overlays, meme timing) to keep content fresh and shareable.
Preferred:
- Familiar with content planning tools, asset libraries, and cloud storage platforms like Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Organized with file management, version control, and naming conventions for projects.
- Pays attention to frame composition, aspect ratios, and platform-specific requirements (e.g. 9:16, 1:1, 16:9).
- Comfortable working with footage, graphics, music, and voiceovers to complete polished videos.
- Understands the importance of storytelling and emotional engagement in video editing.
Benefits:
- We support your creative growth, your mental focus, and your need to sometimes just… tweak the cut one more time.
- You’ll be part of a team that understands the creative process and respects your deep work time.
- We provide raw content, brand assets, and paid tools — but your eye and timing bring the story to life.
- We celebrate clean edits, snappy transitions, great pacing, and the moment your timing *just hits*.
- We support ongoing training, plug-in libraries, editing workshops, and industry trends — your craft matters.
" — and trust that instinct. You’ll support thumbnail prep, title testing, and even learn how good edits help boost click-through rates and retention. You’ll see how podcasts and YouTube channels are built consistently — week after week — and why systems matter as much as creativity. You’ll assist senior editors and eventually take full ownership of smaller edits from start to finish. You’ll grow your technical skills and your storytelling chops — because both matter when turning clips into real content. You’ll gain deep focus, editing discipline, and pride in building episodes that people watch from start to finish. You’ll walk away with real credits, real clips, and a real understanding of how creators and editors build digital shows together. You’ll walk away with dozens of published clips and real proof that you can edit for attention, not just aesthetics. If you think in clips, hear beats in your head, and genuinely enjoy finding “the hook” — this internship was made for you.
