Description:

We’re looking for a Junior QA Tester to join our team and help ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. You’ll be responsible for conducting manual tests, identifying bugs, and helping the development team resolve issues quickly. You’ll collaborate with developers to identify and troubleshoot issues, ensuring defects are resolved in a timely manner. You’ll collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential issues. You’ll participate in system, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure our products meet user expectations. You’ll report defects in a clear and concise manner, working with developers to verify fixes and prevent future issues. You’ll assist in maintaining test environments and ensure testing tools and scripts are up-to-date. You’ll contribute to automating testing workflows, ensuring testing is efficient and scalable as the product evolves.

Basic Qualifications:

• Report bugs clearly and concisely in tools like Jira, Trello, or ClickUp—attaching screenshots, steps to reproduce, and expected vs actual results.
• Execute manual test cases based on requirements and user stories to identify bugs, UI issues, or performance inconsistencies.
• Participate in standups or sprint reviews, raising red flags early if something doesn’t look or feel right.
• Test across multiple devices, browsers, and screen sizes to ensure consistent behavior and responsiveness.
• Assist in writing simple automated tests (if you’re learning tools like Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright).

Preferred:

• Willing to learn about test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knows how to review UI/UX for consistency and spot layout or responsiveness issues.
• Comfortable asking questions and raising concerns when something seems off.
• Understands the difference between functional, regression, and usability testing.
• Can write clear, step-by-step bug reports and communicate findings to developers.

You’ll help with automation efforts, learning to write and run automated test scripts to streamline the testing process. You’ll manage test data and assist with creating environments for efficient testing and verification. You’ll track test results, analyzing defects and providing regular reports to leadership on progress and issues found. You’ll contribute to creating comprehensive documentation for the testing process, helping maintain consistency and quality. You’ll help prioritize testing efforts based on risk, ensuring that high-priority features are thoroughly tested.
