Description:

We’re hiring a Painter to help transform residential and commercial spaces with precision, care, and a steady hand — perfect for someone who enjoys visual results and takes pride in a clean finish. You’ll work in factories, warehouses, bridges, and shipyards applying primers, epoxies, and specialty coatings that protect equipment and infrastructure from wear and corrosion. You’ll work on ladders, scaffolding, or suspended platforms, always following safety procedures for height and fall protection. You’ll operate sprayers, rollers, or brushes to apply coatings according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. You’ll protect furniture, floors, and surrounding areas with tape, drop cloths, and plastic sheeting before each job begins. You’ll assist in mixing paints and matching colors using digital tools or traditional formulas. You’ll tape, cover, and protect freshly installed cabinetry, floors, and fixtures before painting begins. You’ll help mask windows, fixtures, signage, and landscaping before spray applications or splatter-prone techniques. You’ll be expected to complete daily job logs, report material usage, and communicate progress to supervisors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay updated on eco-friendly paints, surface trends, and advanced application tools.
• Clean tools and work areas thoroughly after each job to maintain professional standards.
• Follow safety protocols when working with ladders, scaffolding, and chemical products.
• Follow blueprints or color schemes provided by clients, designers, or supervisors.
• Take direction well and also work independently when assigned solo tasks.

Preferred:

• Open to seasonal or weather-dependent work including exterior painting and surface prep.
• Knowledge of different paint types (latex, oil-based, epoxy, etc.) and appropriate use for interior or exterior conditions.
• Enjoys transforming spaces through color, texture, and attention to surface detail.
• Willing to protect furniture, floors, and fixtures using drop cloths, tape, and coverings.
• Able to mix and match paint colors accurately and apply coatings based on specifications or client preferences.

You’ll work with a team of painters, safety officers, and project managers to stay on schedule and within specs. You’ll assist with transporting paint, ladders, tape, and drop cloths from site to site using company vehicles or your own. You’ll work in hot, cold, windy, or humid conditions while maintaining a steady pace and clean technique. You’ll be expected to complete daily check-ins, log completed surfaces, and report any structural concerns you observe. You’ll work both solo and in small artisan teams, depending on the size and complexity of the job. You’ll work indoors most of the year, with occasional exterior finishing in good weather. Experience is helpful but not required — we’ll train those with the strength, balance, and focus to work safely at height.
