Description:

We’re accepting applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technician internship — ideal for someone who values structure, precision, and a methodical approach to learning. You’ll handle blood, tissue, and fluid samples with care, focus, and full responsibility for what comes next. You’ll be trained in how to handle biological samples with care, label them correctly, and avoid the small mistakes that can make a big difference. You’ll learn how to operate key lab equipment step-by-step — centrifuges, pipettes, analyzers — and understand what they do, not just how to push the buttons. You’ll assist in preparing test panels, organizing workflow, and helping the senior technicians keep everything clean, compliant, and audit-ready. You’ll start with basics: labeling tubes, organizing paperwork, prepping stations, shadowing sample processing, and cleaning equipment with care. You’ll observe proper safety protocols, understand why PPE matters, and build habits that will serve you in every lab from here on out. You’ll get familiar with the importance of timing, temperature, labeling, documentation, and how small lapses can delay big decisions. Your job may not involve direct patient contact — but your work will directly affect diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes. Documentation will be a core part of your duties — not just recording results, but understanding how documentation builds audit trails.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Prepare specimens for transport or referral to external labs when specialized testing is required, following chain-of-custody protocols.
  • Respect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and institutional privacy policies when accessing or transmitting sensitive data.
  • Perform quality control procedures and calibrations to maintain equipment accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain organized records of test batches, equipment logs, reagent inventory, and maintenance schedules for audits and inspections.
  • Help track and manage inventory of lab supplies and reagents—restocking or alerting supervisors when levels run low.

Preferred:

  • Familiar with laboratory equipment including centrifuges, microscopes, and automated analyzers.
  • Follows strict protocols for specimen labeling, preparation, and storage to ensure test validity.
  • Pays close attention to accuracy, repeatability, and turnaround time when conducting tests.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures, safety protocols, and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Able to manage multiple tests or processes simultaneously without compromising quality.

Benefits:

  • If you love structure, accuracy, and being the quiet expert behind critical answers — this role is made for you.
  • Structured shifts that respect your focus and minimize distractions — because precision needs peace.
  • We support ongoing training, CE credits, certifications, and conferences — your development is our investment.
  • You’ll work in a calm, respectful setting where science and care meet.
  • Every correct result, flagged anomaly, or clean run you contribute helps save lives quietly but powerfully.

You’ll train not just your hands, but your eyes — to spot inconsistencies, notice contamination risks, and double-check every ID number. You’ll document with clarity, report with accuracy, and know that lives depend on the numbers you enter. You’ll be part of a team that supports one another, trains together, and shows up when it matters. You’ll attend briefings, observe test batching, and learn how labs manage high sample volumes without compromising traceability. You won’t just run tests — you’ll ensure the integrity of every result that leaves your workstation. You’ll bring focus, resilience, and pride to the kind of work most people never see but everyone relies on. You’ll develop a foundational understanding of medical diagnostics — not from theory, but from applied practice and precision. You’ll begin as an observer, but you’re expected to grow into a contributor — someone trusted to perform basic procedures to protocol. If you’re ready to build serious technical habits, work under strict standards, and grow in a professional medical lab setting — we’re ready to train you properly.
