Description:

We’re offering an Actuary Trainee position for someone who loves working with numbers, patterns, and predictions — no experience needed, just a sharp mind and curiosity about risk management. You’ll assist in analyzing datasets to identify risk patterns and financial trends across insurance or pension portfolios. We’ll teach you how to work with data sets, clean messy inputs, and extract meaningful insights for actuarial use. You’ll learn to use industry-standard tools and spreadsheets to simulate future scenarios and analyze risk exposure. Expect to explore how assumptions about age, health, behavior, and economy affect insurance pricing or pension planning. You’ll help update actuarial reports, check formulas, and validate the logic behind existing calculations. We’ll show you how to present complex data in ways that support better, faster decisions for stakeholders. You’ll contribute to the creation of reports, visual dashboards, and internal presentations used to guide key decisions. We’ll show you how to stress-test assumptions and identify weaknesses in financial models before they become risks.

Basic Qualifications:

• Attend conferences, workshops, or webinars to stay sharp in a fast-evolving field.
• Build and maintain actuarial models that predict outcomes for insurance, finance, or pension products.
• Refine models based on actual outcomes to improve predictive accuracy over time.
• Be the person who makes sense of uncertainty and helps others plan for it.
• Work with underwriters, product managers, and executives to shape pricing and risk strategies.

Preferred:

• Capable of conducting pricing, reserving, or capital modeling tasks under supervision.
• Values precision, accountability, and long-term thinking in data-driven decisions.
• Able to collaborate with underwriters, analysts, and finance teams on cross-functional projects.
• Experience working with actuarial software, spreadsheets, or programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL.
• Can contribute to product development, solvency modeling, or strategic planning initiatives.
