Description:

We’re offering a Sales Assistant Internship for someone who’s ready to learn by doing — someone curious, reliable, and eager to see how retail works from the inside out. You’ll be introduced to the daily operations of the store, from welcoming customers to helping them find what they need. You’ll be trained on using point-of-sale systems, processing payments, and handling refunds with care and professionalism. You’ll help restock shelves, organize displays, and keep the store looking clean and visually appealing throughout the day. You’ll be taught how to listen actively, read customer needs, and offer recommendations that genuinely help — not just sell. You’ll assist in setting up promotions, organizing stockrooms, and ensuring displays always look fresh and inviting. You’ll gain insight into inventory basics — such as restocking, tagging, and keeping count of popular items. We’ll show you how to use a point-of-sale system, manage receipts, and prepare items for bagging or pickup. You’ll develop time management skills by helping during busy hours and staying proactive during quiet ones.

Basic Qualifications:

• Restock shelves, manage inventory, and ensure all items are properly labeled and priced.
• Participate in in-store events or promotions by helping with setup and customer engagement.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including counting the till and securing the store.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and follow store protocol for loss prevention.
• Balance friendliness with efficiency, especially during peak hours.

Preferred:

• Able to multitask during busy periods, especially weekends or sales events.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner when interacting with customers.
• Team-oriented and willing to support coworkers with customer queues, fitting rooms, or stockroom tasks.
• Can handle customer complaints or returns with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
• Open to upselling, cross-selling, and promoting new arrivals or featured products.
