Description:

We’re seeking a Freelance Resume Writer who can turn dull job descriptions into compelling success stories. You know that a resume is more than a document — it’s a first impression that can change someone’s life. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their experience, strengths, and goals. You’ll take raw input — sometimes voice notes, old resumes, or scattered thoughts — and build clean, strategic documents from scratch. We’re looking for someone who can adapt their tone and structure depending on the client’s industry and goals. If you know the difference between ATS-friendly formatting and creative storytelling — you're already ahead. You’ll edit ruthlessly, format cleanly, and write with both recruiters and ATS in mind. You know when to be concise, when to elaborate, and how to position gaps or transitions honestly but positively. You’re comfortable rewriting vague or generic phrases into impactful, results-based language.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide honest but constructive feedback when client expectations don’t match best practices or realities of the job market.
• Create templates or process docs to streamline intake, drafts, and delivery as your workload grows.
• Refine your tone to match the role—from formal for C-level, to dynamic for creatives, to punchy for startups.
• Gather information through intake forms, Zoom calls, or written notes to deeply understand each client’s career story.
• Design clean, modern layouts that enhance readability without overwhelming ATS systems (using Word, Google Docs, Canva, etc.).

Preferred:

• Knows how to write compelling professional summaries and bullet points.
• Capable of adapting writing style to match tone — professional, creative, or executive.
• Familiar with tools like Google Docs, Canva, or Microsoft Word for document creation.
• Interested in long-term freelance work or growing into a personal branding specialist.
• Open to feedback from clients and able to revise drafts collaboratively.
