Description:
We’re looking for an IT Support Technician who combines technical know-how with a genuine desire to help people. You’ll be the first line of defense when issues arise — from forgotten passwords to hardware failures. You’ll install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and software with precision. From fixing printer errors to diagnosing network outages, you’ll be the go-to problem solver. Whether it’s hardware hiccups or software quirks, you know how to keep cool and find solutions. People will look to you for answers — and you’ll deliver them in plain language, not tech jargon. Your attention to detail will shine in documentation, system logs, and inventory tracking. You’ll maintain IT inventory, monitor system health, and help enforce security protocols. You’ll have their gear ready, configured, and tested — no surprises.
Basic Qualifications:
- Train users on new tools or systems, either through quick demos, walkthroughs, or written guides.
- Document common technical issues and solutions in internal knowledge bases to streamline future troubleshooting.
- Perform regular system health checks, backups, and routine maintenance to keep devices and systems running smoothly.
- Apply patches, updates, and antivirus protections to ensure systems remain secure and compliant with IT policies.
- Support VPNs, Wi-Fi, and local networks—troubleshooting connectivity issues and escalating complex problems when needed.
Preferred:
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Open to working in environments that support hybrid or remote users across time zones.
- Understands how to reset passwords, manage user accounts, and configure email clients.
- Pays close attention to detail when documenting steps taken or solutions provided.
- Comfortable explaining technical solutions to non-technical users with patience and clarity.
