Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to assist in rural and remote response units — ideal for someone who wants to learn how emergency care works far from city hospitals and support systems. You’ll assist with safely transporting stable patients between hospitals, clinics, rehab centers, or specialized care facilities. You’ll help prepare for long transports by checking oxygen supply, battery life, medications, and equipment before each shift. You’ll assist with treating a wide range of emergencies — from heart attacks and injuries to allergic reactions and animal-related trauma. You’ll learn to remain calm when scenes are chaotic, and how to focus on what must be done first to save lives. You’ll assist in lifting patients from hazardous environments and supporting their transfer to emergency vehicles. You’ll observe how paramedics keep detailed transfer logs, manage medications-in-transit, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely. You’ll learn how to respond calmly to a wide range of situations — from car accidents to cardiac arrests to non-emergency transports. You’ll be trained in basic rescue tools and how to move safely around unstable or dangerous areas under supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

• Make split-second decisions in high-pressure situations with a calm and focused mindset.
• Remain flexible and alert throughout unpredictable, high-intensity shifts.
• Provide clear handover reports to hospital personnel for smooth transitions in care.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow legal, ethical, and medical guidelines at all times.
• Recognize when advanced hospital care is needed and make timely transport decisions.

Preferred:

• Understands medical protocols, triage methods, and scope of practice defined by local or national regulations.
• Wants to grow into roles like Flight Paramedic, EMS Supervisor, or Critical Care Transport Specialist.
• Able to remain calm and focused during emergencies, including mass casualty incidents or high-risk environments.
• Comfortable performing in both urban and rural settings with limited resources.
• Enjoys being the first to respond and make a direct difference in patient outcomes.
