Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Translation Specialist to help ensure that our content reaches a global audience in multiple languages. You’ll be responsible for translating written content, audio, and video, ensuring that meaning and context are preserved in the target language. You’ll collaborate with content creators, legal teams, and marketing teams to ensure all translations align with the brand's goals and messaging. You’ll work on translating documents, websites, marketing materials, and more, ensuring that the original meaning is preserved. You’ll manage the translation process from start to finish, handling everything from initial translation to final review. You’ll use translation software and tools to increase efficiency while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. You’ll work with various languages and specialties, including legal, medical, and technical documents, providing expert knowledge where needed. You’ll stay up-to-date with industry trends, translation best practices, and technological advancements to improve your work.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay updated on language trends, regional usage, or spelling differences (e.g., US vs UK English, formal vs informal Spanish).
• Ultimately, act as a language bridge—making sure that meaning travels across borders without getting lost in translation.
• Respond to revision requests or client feedback with professionalism and openness to improve final output.
• Deliver translations in the required formats (Word, Excel, HTML, SRT, etc.) while preserving layout and structure.
• Adapt slang, idioms, or jokes appropriately so the content feels native to the reader, not like a translation.

Preferred:

• Excited to help individuals and organizations reach new audiences through language.
• Background or interest in linguistics, communication, international business, or literature.
• Has translated for clients, agencies, or personal projects with a clear process.
• Fluent in at least two languages with excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation in both.
• Experience translating written content such as articles, websites, subtitles, or business documents.

You’ll track your progress and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high productivity. You’ll manage multiple translation projects at once, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality output. You’ll provide feedback to improve translation processes and suggest better tools or techniques for more efficient work. You’ll participate in quality control processes, reviewing and refining translations to meet client expectations. You’ll assist in developing and maintaining translation glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency across projects. You’ll work with both internal teams and external partners to ensure all translated content aligns with business objectives. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to meaningful and impactful translations.
