Description:

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Game Tester to join our team and help improve the quality of our games. You’ll be responsible for testing new and upcoming games, identifying bugs, glitches, and other technical issues. You’ll collaborate with developers to document and track bugs, providing clear and actionable reports to resolve issues efficiently. You’ll test games on different devices and platforms, ensuring that everything functions properly across all configurations. You’ll provide feedback on game flow, level design, and user interface, helping to improve the overall gaming experience. You’ll help test user interfaces, ensuring all menus, buttons, and navigation systems are intuitive and bug-free. You’ll work with different testing tools to simulate various conditions, including network problems, performance issues, and hardware limitations. You’ll assist in performance testing, evaluating the game’s load times, frame rates, and overall performance under different conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Test specific game features—menus, multiplayer, achievements, physics, UI/UX—to ensure they function as expected under different scenarios.
  • Ultimately, help ship high-quality games by ensuring they work, feel good, and don’t crash right before the final boss.
  • Monitor frame rates, load times, and crash reports to support performance testing and optimization efforts.
  • Document issues clearly using bug tracking systems like Jira or TestRail, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and severity levels.
  • Play games from a user-first mindset, but test like a detective—curious, methodical, and thorough.

Preferred:

  • Willing to test the same scenario repeatedly to confirm bug fixes and consistency.
  • Understands basic testing terminology like test cases, repro steps, and bug severity.
  • Willing to work with developers, designers, and QA leads to clarify test results.
  • Can clearly describe how to reproduce issues in written bug reports.
  • Open to learning about automation testing or scripting if required.

Benefits:

  • If you’ve ever said “I found a bug” mid-game and wrote a paragraph about it — this is your dream job.
  • You’re not “just a tester” — you’re part QA, part detective, and part early reviewer.
  • You’ll be credited when the game ships — because your work deserves to be seen.
  • Team rituals include “bug of the week,” easter egg hunts, and oddest glitch screenshots.
  • We provide testing builds, bug tracking tools, and clear checklists — but your instincts are the secret weapon.

You’ll ensure the game meets its intended goals, ensuring all features function as expected and delivering a satisfying user experience. You’ll help identify any balance issues within the game, such as character abilities, difficulty levels, and rewards. You’ll identify and report performance issues such as frame rate drops, crashes, or lag, ensuring that the game runs optimally on all devices. You’ll provide feedback on balance, difficulty, and pacing, ensuring the game appeals to its target audience and delivers the intended experience. You’ll assist with testing the user interface and menu systems, ensuring everything is accessible, easy to use, and free from bugs. You’ll stay current with new gaming trends, technologies, and industry standards to improve your testing skills and efficiency. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from home while contributing to the development of top-tier games. If you’re passionate about gaming and quality assurance, we’d love to have you on our team to help shape the future of gaming.
