Description:

We’re hiring a UX/UI Designer Trainee with a focus on user research — no experience required, just empathy, curiosity, and a desire to design things that actually help people. You’ll work inside real startups and MVP projects where screens go live quickly and feedback comes just as fast. We’ll teach you how to use Figma like a pro: components, auto layout, grids, and prototyping. You’ll help create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and simple prototypes to test ideas quickly and improve clarity with each version. We’ll guide you through the logic behind grids, padding, icon size, interaction states, and how to design with reuse in mind. We’ll guide you through copy + layout pairing — how to support a message visually without overwhelming the page. You’ll also work with designers, writers, and marketers to keep each section clean, punchy, and user-focused. You’ll work with Figma, FigJam, Notion, Maze, or other tools to help visualize flows and gather reactions quickly. Some days you’ll work on mobile views, others on responsive desktop — and you’ll get faster at adapting to different screen sizes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Iterate quickly based on feedback, analytics, or just realizing something feels off.
• Use tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD to bring interfaces to life from rough drafts to pixel-perfect screens.
• Stay up to date with design trends but only apply what actually improves the experience.
• Design intuitive, accessible, and visually pleasing user interfaces for web and mobile platforms.
• Support handoff by exporting assets, writing documentation, and checking final builds for quality.

Preferred:

• Organized with version control, naming conventions, and design file structure for smooth handoffs.
• Willing to receive and incorporate design critiques to refine and improve work quality.
• Able to adapt design styles depending on product type: SaaS, e-commerce, mobile app, etc.
• Background or interest in interaction design, psychology, human-computer interaction (HCI), or visual communication.
• Understands the importance of consistent branding, typography, and iconography across screens.
