Description:

We’re offering a position for a Security System Installer Trainee — no experience required, just a calm, focused mindset and a desire to do meaningful work. No background in security or electronics? We’ll start you with the basics: how to use tools safely, run cable through walls, and follow installation diagrams. You’ll learn how to drill with precision, mount devices neatly, and run wires where they’ll never be noticed but always matter. You’ll learn to set up motion sensors, door contacts, alarm panels, and video doorbells step by step. You’ll work side by side with experienced installers who will walk you through how alarm panels, sensors, and cameras work together. You’ll also learn how to troubleshoot issues, fix common problems, and understand the flow of wiring and signal paths. You’ll work in homes and businesses, learning how to adapt installations to different layouts and client needs. We’ll guide you in understanding system layouts, battery backups, wireless signal ranges, and router placement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Respect the client's property—clean up after the work is done.
• Train users on mobile apps and remote monitoring features.
• Handle wiring and setup for both wired and wireless security systems.
• Ensure every system is installed to prevent blind spots or weak points.
• Update firmware or configure apps when smart systems are involved.

Preferred:

• Familiar with running cables, mounting cameras, setting up DVR/NVR systems, and testing sensors.
• Can perform walk-throughs with clients to demonstrate how to use their new systems.
• Willing to travel to job sites and manage multiple installs per week with minimal supervision.
• Experience installing and configuring security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and motion detectors.
• Knows how to integrate multiple systems (alarms, door locks, cameras) into one platform when required.
