Description:

We’re hiring a Freelance Resume Writer who can take an ordinary work history and turn it into a powerful personal brand. You’ll collaborate with job seekers across different industries, helping them tell their story in a way that resonates with recruiters. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their experience, strengths, and goals. You’ll take raw input — sometimes voice notes, old resumes, or scattered thoughts — and build clean, strategic documents from scratch. We’re looking for someone who can adapt their tone and structure depending on the client’s industry and goals. You’ll work with clients via forms, messages, and occasional video calls to gather insights and shape content. You’ll edit ruthlessly, format cleanly, and write with both recruiters and ATS in mind. Tone, voice, and clarity matter — and you know how to adjust them to fit each client’s personality and target role. You’re comfortable rewriting vague or generic phrases into impactful, results-based language.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work 1:1 with clients to craft personalized, professional resumes that reflect their experience, goals, and strengths.
• Edit and restructure outdated resumes, turning messy job lists into strategic, results-oriented narratives.
• Create templates or process docs to streamline intake, drafts, and delivery as your workload grows.
• Be flexible—some clients need hand-holding, others just want polish. Meet them where they are.
• Gather information through intake forms, Zoom calls, or written notes to deeply understand each client’s career story.

Preferred:

• Keeps up with hiring trends, resume best practices, and evolving job market needs.
• Wants to help people tell their career story in a strategic and confident way.
• Experience creating or refining resumes across various industries and job levels.
• Understands the differences between chronological, functional, and hybrid resume formats.
• Comfortable writing LinkedIn summaries or cover letters as part of the service.
