Description:

We’re looking for a responsible and proactive Discord Moderator to join our team and help manage our online community. You’ll be responsible for monitoring interactions, enforcing server rules, and making sure all members feel safe and valued. You’ll assist with the moderation of both text and voice channels, keeping conversations friendly, productive, and respectful. You’ll collaborate with other moderators to resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and ensure that all community guidelines are followed. You’ll monitor chat activity to ensure that conversations stay on-topic and that members are following the community guidelines. You’ll help organize events and activities that engage the community, encourage collaboration, and keep members active. You’ll collaborate with other moderators and the community management team to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere. You’ll moderate voice and text channels to ensure the server remains friendly, informative, and free of spam or disruptive behavior.

Basic Qualifications:

• Warn, mute, kick, or ban users when necessary to address spam, harassment, or other rule violations—using moderation tools like Dyno, Carl-bot, or MEE6.
• Be available during assigned shifts or check-ins to ensure consistent moderation coverage across time zones.
• Report serious incidents or repeat offenders to server admins with detailed logs and context.
• Be adaptable—what works in one server or phase of growth might not in another.
• Help maintain a positive atmosphere by leading through example—being calm, kind, and fair even under pressure.

Preferred:

• Interested in helping organize server activities or events to keep the community engaged.
• Can quickly learn server rules and help ensure others understand them too.
• Willing to escalate complex situations to more experienced moderators or admins.
• Excited to grow into more responsibility as they gain experience.
• Open to learning how to mute, warn, or report users who violate guidelines.

You’ll provide feedback and support in improving server processes and enhancing user experiences across the platform. You’ll stay updated with Discord platform changes and implement new features to improve community interaction and moderation. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of the community.
